Immersive Survival English Lessons
At CES, students learn not only through classroom lessons but also through practical, real-world activities.
Together with their instructors, they visit Cebu’s tourist spots, malls, restaurants, and cafés to practice English used in everyday situations—such as making reservations, ordering food, or asking for information.
For students who need English in professional settings, we provide practical training on how to communicate effectively with clients and business partners in real-world situations.
For those preparing for a working holiday, we simulate real interview scenarios and workplace conversations to help students build confidence and readiness for overseas employment.
We tailor our lessons to each student’s goals, providing highly practical English training designed to match their specific needs and future plans.
Students also have the opportunity to learn about the SDGs—one of the world’s most important global initiatives—through English and gain meaningful, hands-on experiences related to sustainability.
This course allows students to develop all four English skills with a strong focus on speaking.
Among the four one-on-one lessons each day, two are practical, real-life style classes.
Students also participate in an outdoor lesson every Friday to apply what they have learned in real situations.
This program is designed to help children build interest in English and enjoy learning the language.
In addition to classroom lessons, students put what they have learned into practice during outdoor activities held every Friday.
This program prepares students for working abroad or joining a working holiday.
Training includes résumé writing, interview skills, essential job-related vocabulary, on-the-job training, and practical experience such as assisting at partner hotel front desks, customer service in cafés, and housekeeping tasks.
This course is designed for students who want to study for exams such as TOEIC or IELTS.
Through one-on-one lessons, students learn test-specific strategies, while group classes—such as CNN, Movie, and Discussion sessions—help strengthen their overall English foundation.
Accommodation Options
To ensure a comfortable stay, CES offers two options: hotel accommodations or a self-catering condominium.
Students may also choose between meal-included plans, eating out, or cooking on their own.
At Cebu English School, we offer a wide range of weekend activities.
From Cebu’s popular whale-shark tours and island excursions to orphanage visits and cultural exchanges with the Bajau community, our programs also focus on meaningful and sustainable experiences.

- Can I enroll even if I have no English knowledge at all?
Yes, you can enroll with no problem. However, having some basic grammar and everyday vocabulary beforehand will help you understand the lessons more smoothly and achieve better results during your stay.
- Do you have fixed start dates?
- Students usually check in on Sunday and check out on Saturday.
Early check-in or late check-out is also available with an additional fee. Please contact us for arrangements.
- If I study short-term, are there make-up classes on public holidays?
- Yes.
For short-term stays of 1–2 weeks, we provide four one-on-one lessons on public holidays at no extra cost.
Additional lessons on weekends or holidays can also be arranged for an extra fee.
- Do you accept students who commute to the school?
- At Cebu English School, we primarily offer packages that include either on-campus dormitory accommodation or a partner hotel stay.
However, students who prefer to commute from their own accommodation are also welcome.
Please contact us if you wish to enroll as a commuting student.
- Can I change teachers after my course starts?
- Yes.
If you submit a teacher-change request by Thursday, your new teacher will be assigned starting the following Monday.
- Can I extend my study period after arriving in Cebu?
- Yes, extensions are possible.
However, this depends on room availability, so extending your stay may be difficult during peak season.
- What happens if I get sick during my stay?
- Please inform our school staff if you feel unwell. If a hospital visit is necessary, a staff member will accompany you and take you to a nearby medical facility.
You will need your travel insurance policy certificate at that time, so please have it ready in advance.
Even if you have travel insurance, some policies do not offer cashless medical services.
In such cases, you may be required to pay the medical fees upfront.
Please check beforehand whether your insurance policy provides cashless coverage.
- Can I enter the Philippines even if I am not vaccinated?
- Yes.
As of July 2023, all COVID-19 entry restrictions have been lifted.
Unvaccinated travelers can enter the Philippines, and no PCR test or vaccination certificate is required.
