Every Friday, CES conducts fieldwork English lessons. This week’s theme was practicing how to order at Starbucks in English. 🍵
Pre-Lesson Practice – Learning Through Role Play

In the classroom, students learned how to order at a café in English. Teachers played the role of baristas while students practiced as customers through realistic role-play activities.

Students learned basic ordering phrases as well as how to customize their drinks, such as choosing milk types or sugar levels.

At Starbucks – Real-Life Practice

Then, students visited Starbucks to put their classroom English into action. They nervously but bravely tried ordering in English, including milk choices and syrup customizations. 🌈

Accompanying teachers closely observed and supported students whenever needed.

Feedback – Student Impressions

Some students were nervous and forgot the phrases they practiced earlier. But teachers encouraged them with comments like, “With a little more practice, you’ll be confident.” Students left motivated to speak more naturally next time.

Another student said, “I was nervous, but it was so much fun!” with a big smile. The chance to express themselves in English helped boost their confidence. 🎉

📚 By using English in a real situation, students realized how important practical practice is. Their next goal: speaking more naturally. 🌟
At CES, students interact not only with teachers but with various people in real-life situations. We value learning English not as “study” but as a fun communication tool. 🌍💬
Stay tuned for the next fieldwork lesson! 🎉
