March 28, 2024 – Volunteer Activity Focused on SDGs

Today, we took part in a volunteer activity 🌟.
We visited Anya’s Home, an organization registered as an NGO.
They provide meals and education to around 70 Filipino children.

Students began by introducing themselves and playing games together 🎨.
Using hand-drawn cards, they enjoyed bingo and card-style activities 🃏.

They ended the session with a group photo in the “Anyas pose” 📸✌️.
Students then handed the gifts they had brought from Japan to their partners 🎁,
which made the local children very happy 🌈.

On the way back from Anya’s Home, staff explained where the local children live and where they play—often near the sea.
Learning that the ocean serves as their playground highlighted a very serious issue…

The living environment and intense heat—so different from Japan—seemed shocking to the students.
It was likely a moment for them to realize how comfortable life in Japan truly is 🌍💭.
In the van back, students shared their thoughts:
“The little kids were so cute,”
“I realized how fortunate life in Japan is,”
“I wish they could all live in Japan.”
Each child clearly took away something meaningful from the experience ☺️👍.

After returning from the volunteer activity, students prepared their graduation speeches.
Although they were tired, they all worked diligently ✨.
Expressing their thoughts in words is not easy, but with good preparation, everyone will deliver a wonderful speech at the ceremony 💪🎓.

It was extremely hot today, but everyone did an amazing job. Well done! 👏
